Setting Students Up for success
A successful learning environment contains a set of interlocking educational resources that contribute to a child’s progress. Whether it’s the peers, the teachers, materials and other resources, the way certain topics are taught and practiced, or any other number of items that make us comfortable in stressful learning environments, these critical learning components, unfortunately, will change as each child progresses through their respective educational routes.
Whether prepping for preschool, moving from preschool to kindergarten, from an early intensive special education program to the neighborhood elementary school, or from school to the workplace, change can be stressful and we pride ourselves in helping ease the stress and set your child up for success.
What once was comfortable is now replaced with something new.
Spring Leaves Academy can help assess the current and new learning environments to develop a plan to maximize success.
Each learner must be taught and coached in a way to set them up for changing learning environments so as to:
Maintain a positive learning environment that fosters learning
Avoid gaps in learning during transitions
Find learning strategies, remedial through advanced, to adapt to the new learning environment
Provide peace-of-mind to families that their child will be encouraged and supported while switching learning environments
